Deliveroo_Courier_Protest_London-8.jpg
Torrington Place, London, August 12th 2016. Deliveroo is embroiled in a row over a new pay structure with its couriers as up to 100 workers and supporters stage a second protest outside the takeaway delivery company's HQ at Torrington Place in central London. Deliveroo couriers are self-employed, which means that they are not entitled to the national living wage, currently set at £7.20 an hour. Some have suggested that the new structure, which will see workers paid £3.75 per delivery, will make it hard for them to earn as much as they took home while on hourly pay rates. // Lee Thomas, Flat 47a Park East Building, Bow Quarter, London, E3 2UT.
