ArcelorMittal Orbit, Olympic Park, London, UK. 17th September, 2015. Ai Weiwei and Anish Kapoor take part in a protest walk beginning from The Royal Academy of Arts in central London. The two controversial artists were joined by fellow protesters to walk 7 miles across London to Stratford to raise awareness of the plight of refugees streaming into Europe fleeing violence in the Middle East. Demonstrators were asked to carry a single blanket to symbolise the plight of the world’s refugees. Mr. Kapoor called the blankets, “A symbol of the need that faces 60 million refugees in our world today.” Pictured: Ai Weiwei and Anish Kapoor together with up to 200 supporters reach their destination at Kapoor's creation, the ArcelorMittal Orbit, at Olympic Park, Stratford . // Lee Thomas, Flat 47a Park East Building, Bow Quarter, London, E3 2UT.
