Market Square, Wellington, Telford, Shropshire, UK. 12th May 2018. Up to 60 English Defence League supporters attempted to stage a rally in Market Square, Wellington, near Telford to demonstrate claims that the Shropshire town has problems with child exploitation and grooming gangs. Unfortunately for the right-wing organisation, problems with their portable generator and PA system caused their proposed speeches to be abandoned to the delight of opposing supporters. Scores of police formed a barrier between English Defence League supporters and a vocal anti-fascist contingent, individual protests of which took place only yards away from each other.
