Commercial Street, London, UK. 1st May 2015. Hundreds of demonstrators gather in the City of London for the “Reclaim the Beats” street party on May Day evening amidst a heavy police presence. Smoke canisters were let off and portable sound systems played loud dance music. The protest was held outside the “Poor Doors” One Commercial Street, the location in recent months of demonstrations against the use of segregating less well-off tenants from wealthy homeowners by forcing them to use separate entrances.
