Chinese Embassy, Portland Place, London, UK. 26th June 2015. Up to 200 animal lovers stage a loud protest outside the Chinese Embassy in central London today. The demonstrators are demanding that the Chinese government should ban The Yulin Dog Meat Festival which the protestors say is an incredibly cruel and inhumane event which last year saw approximately 15,000 dogs electrocuted, boiled and skinned alive. The annual event takes place in the Guangxi province, south-west China, and starts next week. Celebrities including British comedian Ricky Gervais and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen have spoken out on Twitter with the hashtag #StopYuLin2015 // Lee Thomas, Flat 47a Park East Building, Bow Quarter, London, E3 2UT.
