19th June 2014. Gary Glitter leaves Westminster Magistrates Court in London. The ex-singer is charged with eight sexual offences relating to girls aged between 12 and 14. Glitter, 70, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was the first person arrested as part of Operation Yewtree, which was set up in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal.
