Bath University Campus, Bath, Somerset, UK. 30th November 2017. Hundreds of students, staff members and supporters take part in a protest at the Bath University's campus. Students are furious after the institution’s £470,000-a-year vice chancellor - Dame Professor Glynis Breakwell - stepped down amid a pay row, only to be offered a “golden handshake” deal. The demonstration coincided with a meeting of the University Council where Professor Breakwell assembled her management and senior staff to discuss the future of the university. According to the Bath Students Against Fees and Cuts Facebook page “there's going to be staff members lobbying in front of the Council Chamber, and we students need to be there too to give the final push”.
