Police_Swoop_on_Muslim_Men_at_Stratford_Shopping_Centre_London-15.jpg
Stratford Shopping Centre, Broadway, Stratford, London, UK. 21st November, 2015. A group of up to 10 young Muslim men, some of whom are known to have links with Anjem Choudary, set up a makeshift stall outside the front entrance to the Stratford Shopping Centre in East London. As thousands of people hurried between shops searching for weekend bargains the group of Muslims were seen giving out leaflets titled No2DemocracyYes2Islam advocating that consumers of alcohol, gamblers, prostitutes and homosexuals should all be punished and that David Cameron and Theresa May's recent foreign policy statements are a direct attack against Muslims. Shortly after the stall was set-up approximately 10 police officers confronted the Muslim men who were then instructed to take down their banners and stall tables. Handing out of the leaflets to passing shoppers were continued by the men after the the majority of police left the vicinity.
